CWE has been a wonderful resource. They offer access to impactful consultations, and are there for us as we are continuing to grow.

What inspired Jen and Jackie’s business?

Jen and Jackie started their business in May of 2021 to share the beloved Argentine culture and tradition of empanadas. They wanted to bring a balanced cuisine that is healthy, local, and delicious to their friends and neighbors in Waterbury, Vermont.

Business Highlight

They are dedicated to sharing their love and passion for creating food that is good for bodies and souls. Living in central Vermont, they find that lots of folks have never had an empanada before. They find that sharing something new and expanding folks' horizons is such an honor. They produce handmade Argentinian empanadas with a Vermont twist, using fresh and local ingredients.

They have established their production facility and restaurant, located at 40 Foundry Street in downtown Waterbury. They hope this location will benefit their local community and plan on hiring more folks in 2024, and beyond.

Owning a new business has brought them new challenges, but they say that having access to the wonderful women business owner resources through CWE has made owning a small business just a bit easier. “CWE has been such a champion for us!”
