What Inspired Hajar's Business?
Hajar’s business, Souk & Wanderlust, was inspired by her Fulbright Scholarship to Morocco during her Ph.D. studies. The experience exposed her to artisans, highlighting the importance of preserving traditional artisanal practices listed as intangible cultural heritage by The United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Souk & Wanderlust aims to support artisans globally, partnering with brands creating ethically made artisanal products.

The business partners with global brands, offering one-of-a-kind, handcrafted artisanal products such as handbags, jewelry, clothing, and home goods.
