The Center for Women & Enterprise's Eastern Massachusetts Women's Business Center (CWE Eastern MA) was chosen by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to be one of 14 organizations from across the country to receive a Resiliency and Recovery Demonstration Grant. This grant, monitored by the SBA's Office of Women's Business Ownership (OWBO), funds innovative programs targeted at women-owned businesses impacted by the pandemic.

As a recipient of this grant, CWE Eastern MA is partnering with Surfside Capital Advisors to provide services targeted at Spanish-speaking women entrepreneurs in the region. This bilingual program features a comprehensive needs assessment, which will be followed by workshops, a business planning multiweek course, individual consultations, and a networking event. This collaborative program will strategically engage on-demand translation and interpreter services, as well as trusted community partners with expertise in serving the Spanish-speaking community in Eastern Massachusetts. It will result in at least 200 hours of direct service to entrepreneurs looking to launch or recover a business in the wake of the pandemic.

About the Center for Women & Enterprise

Established in 1995, the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is a non-profit organization that empowers women to launch and grow their businesses - so they, in turn, can drive economic growth, lift their communities, and create a more equitable world. CWE also operates the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England (VBOC of NE) that equips veteran and active-duty service members and their families with the resources to help them start and run their businesses.

As New England's leading organization for women entrepreneurs, we work hard to ensure that all women are provided access to our programs and services regardless of their economic status. CWE offers scholarships to disadvantaged clients while fostering influential relationships for successful businesswomen at the other end of the financial spectrum.

The Center for Women & Enterprise provides education, training, resources, and connections to women through Centers in Boston, MA; Westborough, MA; Manchester, NH; Providence, RI; Burlington, VT; and Community Classrooms throughout New England.

In addition, CWE is the New England affiliate for Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), serving as their certification arm for women-owned businesses. WBENC Certification is nationally recognized in helping established women business owners access new corporate contracts with organizations actively seeking supplier diversity.?
