Why CWE?

I greatly admire people who have the drive, spirit and resourcefulness to start, run and grow their own businesses. It’s impressive and inspiring. I first learned of CWE when I volunteered to help train clients about selecting the right legal form for their businesses, and then later to help with WBENC certifications. I loved feeling part of the CWE programs and the WBENC process. It was an honor to be able to use my law degree to contribute, even in a small way, to help women become better prepared for the challenges of running their businesses. Over the past few years, as the mother of daughters, I’ve seen the need to encourage girls to understand business concepts and feel comfortable asking questions about business. I want to tell girls they belong in business and can access tools to be business decision-makers if they want to. CWE provides this encouragement to women and veterans. Its training and support networks are empowering to its clients. I am proud to be included in the CWE family, and to share stories about CWE with my children.
