What inspired Rachel & Felicia's business?

Rachel and Felicia were inspired to start their business after recognizing the lack of women in the tech industry. They began by creating a women-in-tech community to foster connections and learning, addressing the gap they experienced firsthand. Over time, this evolved into Inclusion Geeks, focusing on creating a welcoming workplace and enhancing leadership development. Their goal is to create environments where all employees feel valued, engaged, and connected, driven by their passion for making a positive impact on organizational culture and individual experiences.

Business Highlights

Rachel and Felicia designed tailored programs on topics to meet organizations where they are in their journey. They address the challenge of creating engaging workplaces with customized, interactive training that equips leaders with actionable tools. Benefits include stronger team culture, retention, innovation, and satisfaction. What sets them apart is an authentic approach, a decade of expertise, and proven flexibility. Their target audience includes HR professionals, people managers, and leadership teams committed to driving meaningful workplace change.

How CWE Has Helped Rachel & Felicia

CWE has provided them with valuable resources, including educational opportunities through the Tuck Executive Education Program and CWE networking events. They’ve also gained insights and connections by attending and sponsoring the WBENC national conference. CWE’s tailored guidance and consistent support have empowered them to grow their business, build meaningful relationships, and confidently navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship while staying true to their mission of fostering workplace inclusion.

How do they feel about owning their own business?

Rachel and Felicia feel that being business owners has been one of the greatest joys (and challenges!) of their lives. It’s an empowering and powerful role to realize that they are in a position where they are able to make decisions that have a direct impact on clients, their company, and themselves. It is a huge responsibility. This role allows us the freedom to directly create and sustain a workplace that reflects our values. It can be challenging at times, but knowing we are building something that truly matters and helps others makes this incredibly rewarding.

How has the journey of building their own business changed Rachel & Felicia's life

The journey has provided a platform through which they've been able to align work with purpose. They feel that owning a business has fundamentally changed their lives by giving them the freedom to take control of their future. Before, fate was tied to corporate outcomes beyond their control, but now, they have the power to shape their own paths. They work with people they truly admire and love collaborating with, align work with their values, and make a tangible impact. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but the growth, resilience, and sense of purpose they've gained has been life-changing. It’s taught them that success is about more than just financial outcomes—it’s about building something meaningful and being proud of the legacy they are creating.

What creating a business of their own has done for Rachel & Felicia

Creating their own business has had a profound impact on practically every aspect of their lives. It has become a source of personal empowerment and stability. The business has allowed them to decide where to live and to buy a home. For their family, it has meant security and opportunity. For their community, their business has meant being able to give back, donate to causes that they believe in, create jobs, and create a model for working that others can follow.
