LiXin has close to 30 years of broad corporate tax experience across multiple disciplines, including US federal and international tax compliance and tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and income tax accounting for US-based multi-national companies.

LiXin Olsen currently serves as Senior Vice President of Tax Apogee Therapeutics, which is a clinical stage biotechnology company that develops biologics for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and related inflammatory and immunology indications. 

Prior to Apogee Therapeutics,  LiXin Olsen served as Vice President of Global Tax at G-P where she built the tax team from the ground up and helped the company grow strategically into 100+ countries.  LiXin also worked for other several multinational companies across a variety of industries, including Excelitas Technologies, Charles River Laboratories, Boston Consulting Group, and EY, managing their international teams for tax operations and M&A related activities.  Over the years, she has been successfully leading tax teams and developing best practices across the tax spectrum.

After coming to the US from Harbin, China, LiXin continued her accounting education, earning a master’s degree in Accounting from Johnson and Wales University and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Northeastern University. She also holds CPA license in Massachusetts. LiXin enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, her family and friends, traveling, hiking, reading, and gardening

Why CWE?

I learned about CWE from its annual Gala I was invited to and subsequently met various leaders within CWE. I was extremely impressed with their passion for CWE’s mission of empowering women in business. As an Asian woman that came to the US as a young adult, and now a corporate professional and mother of three, I understand the challenges that minority women face and their ability to uniquely lead within their businesses. I am honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with other CWE members to continue empowering women and support the achievement of their business goals.
