Gaby joined the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) in 2019, bringing over 25 years of experience as a visionary leader in both non-profit and for-profit sectors. At CWE, she and her staff provide training and technical assistance to women entrepreneurs across New England. CWE also partners with regional and national organizations to influence policies and systems that propel women entrepreneurs forward.

Throughout her career, Gaby has dedicated herself to impactful social enterprises such as Discovering Justice, City Year, Crossroads for Kids, uAspire, and now CWE. During her nine-year tenure at uAspire, she was part of a leadership team that transformed the organization into a national expert in college affordability, helping low-income students and families access affordable higher education. Under her leadership, uAspire’s annual budget grew from $2 million to $9 million.

Gaby has spent most of her professional life addressing social justice issues, particularly those related to closing the racial and economic wealth gap in the United States. She finds daily inspiration in CWE’s mission and the staff and women entrepreneurs she works with. Her philosophy is to work hard, play, and laugh a lot! Gaby attributes her success to partnering with passionate and talented colleagues who are deeply committed to CWE’s mission.

In addition to her role at CWE, Gaby serves on the Healy Administration’s Supplier Diversity Office’s Small Business Advisory Board and on an advisory board for Mentorworks, an Income Share Agreement Program for funding higher education. She holds a degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Babson College. Gaby co-founded Fernwood Cove, a private all-girls summer camp in Maine. She also enjoys singing in a six-piece Boston-based cover band called Makes U Wanna and is working hard to improve her tennis game!
