What inspired Rachel’s business

Rachel was inspired to start her business after noticing her children’s reluctance to learn Black history. She wanted to create experiences that made education feel meaningful, imaginative, and memorable. That spark led her to design hands-on STEAM storytelling experiences that invite young people to connect with history, creativity, and learning in a more engaging way.

Since launching Dream Through STEAM RI in January 2023, Rachel has grown the business steadily through workshops, curricula, and interactive learning experiences for youth ages 5–18. Key highlights include a 50% increase in revenue, expanding partnerships with respected organizations, and continued growth in clients, visibility, and programming.
