Cindy was inspired to join Baystate Accessibility Remodelers after witnessing her grandmother suffer a severe fall, which highlighted the critical importance of safe and accessible living spaces. With a background in personal training, business, and accounting, she already understood the impact of helping individuals gain independence and strength. This experience, combined with her husband Jason’s vision for the company, motivated her to step in and focus on transforming homes to meet ADA and UFAS standards, ensuring that people of all ages and abilities can live safely and independently.
Baystate Accessibility Remodelers has become known for creating ADA/UFAS-compliant modifications that restore mobility, confidence, and peace of mind for clients. From installing ramps and railings to complete accessible apartment conversions, the company brings 35 years of carpentry experience and Certified Aging in Place Specialist training to every project. Their dedication to safety, compassion, and high-quality craftsmanship has allowed them to partner with homeowners, families, and regional property management companies, increasing accessible housing throughout Massachusetts. Each project represents a tangible improvement in someone’s daily life.
Cindy credits CWE’s Power Forward program with providing clarity and direction for the growth of her business. Through the 13-week course, she participated in goal-oriented breakout sessions with other women business owners, which helped her refine strategic priorities and strengthen her leadership confidence. CWE’s guidance enabled her to focus on both private and public accessibility markets and provided tools to improve business structure, ensuring that the company can scale responsibly while maintaining its mission-driven approach.

Owning Baystate Accessibility Remodelers fills Cindy with a profound sense of pride and purpose. She values the opportunity to serve a community that is often overlooked, helping people regain independence and feel safe in their homes. Beyond the practical impact, she takes pride in leading a business rooted in both compassion and craftsmanship, knowing that the work her team does makes a lasting difference in the lives of their clients and families.
Building her business has transformed Cindy’s personal and professional life by allowing her to work alongside her husband while raising her children. The flexibility of running her own business ensured that she never missed important family moments, from school pick-ups to supporting her children through illness or activities. Professionally, she has developed a stronger sense of leadership and purpose, and personally, she has strengthened her partnership with Jason, making the business a shared mission that enriches both their family life and the community they serve.
Creating her own business has allowed Cindy to make a meaningful impact on her community while building a legacy with her family. By helping people access safer, more functional homes, she is directly improving the daily lives of clients. For her family, the business provided flexibility, shared responsibility, and an opportunity to collaborate on a purpose-driven venture. It has given Cindy the satisfaction of aligning her professional work with her values, creating a sense of fulfillment that extends beyond profits and growth metrics.
Cindy wants people to know that CWE offers transformative support for women-owned businesses. Through the Power Forward program, she gained hands-on guidance, structured learning, and a supportive community of peers that accelerated her growth as a business owner.
