Diane Darling is the founder of Effective Networking, Inc., an author of two successful books, a professor, a well-known speaker and an expert resource on the subject of networking. Diane has long turned to The Center for Women & Enterprise for help with her entrepreneurial endeavors, and most recently participated in the WBENC program to nationally certify Effective Networking as a women owned business. She has also utilized our free legal services, taken accounting classes, and also volunteered as an instructor.

At one point running her company while living out of the YWCA, Diane’s inspiring story of her journey towards success is emblematic of what CWE helps women to do every day- survive and thrive. Diane’s experiences have encouraged her give back to CWE’s future entrepreneurs as a volunteer and champion of women in business and we are honored to recognize her with our 2009 Rising Star award

  The Rising Star award is an annual award given to a CWE client that embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and has taken up the challenge to become economically self-sufficient and prosperous by starting her own business. Presented at our Annual Auction and Gala Dinner this year on April 4, we honor Diane Darling for her outstanding entrepreneurial achievements.
