Amy Yanover Photographic Art

After years in corporate world, Amy Yanover decided it was time to put her love of photography and her dreams of owning her own business into action. With a degree in Business Administration and a passion for art, Amy Yanover Photographic Art officially opened its doors in 2006. After two successful years in business, her studio in downtown Spencer continues to be a hotspot. Her photographs are true works of art, capturing the essence of all her clients, including children, families, students and professionals, through the lens of her camera.

Amy’s participation in CWE’s visioning program was the start of her entrepreneurial journey. From there, she was drawn to Business Planning: First Step, a 12-week intensive program where she wrote and completed her business plan. For Amy, it wasn’t only the classes that kept her coming back, but she felt the emotional support from the other women and constant counseling from CWE encouraged her to follow her dreams. "Even now", she says, "they would be the first people that I turn to for answers about different parts of my business". Amy continues coming back to volunteer for CWE’s Visioning class. She enjoys listening to and aiding women in their pursuit to their own business dreams.

On November 20, 2006, Amy Yanover Photographic Art held a public open house announcing the official opening of her new studio in Spencer. This celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony to signify her entrance into the world of business ownership.

At the Massasoit Art Guild’s 2006 art show, Amy was awarded for her featured art. Currently, Amy is continuing her education at the New England Institute of Professional Photographers. She also travels throughout the country as an active member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers of New England, both of which she is an active member.

Whether taken in studio or on location, Amy’s photographic art is a genuine display of her talents. "I have to stop myself from working too much", she says, "but I love it so much, it’s not work."
