Maria started her journey with the Center for Women & Enterprise Central Massachusetts office in 2002. Her entrepreneurial education started with CWE’s twelve-week Business Planning Class and continued on with Business Launch, Accelerate and loan consulting, loan packaging, and continues today with Accelerate consulting for business growth needs.

Since its opening in August 2002, Maria’s business has grown to allow her to claim a salary enabling her to purchase her family’s first home last year. Her business has reached gross revenues in the six figures in her third year of business, and she now employs over thirty individuals in the community.

In addition to her business start-up success, Maria continues to be an advocate for CWE by volunteering to speak on a radio talk show and Greater Worcester Community Foundation on behalf of CWE, inviting CWE to speak to her business group from Southbridge, MA, and continuing to obtain services through our agency for continued growth stability and success in her business. From her business success and community involvement, she is a true role model for other women entrepreneurs.
