“I would not be an entrepreneur without CWE and other organizations in RI that offer free workshops and programs. My life changed completely in 2018 when I had a ruptured brain aneurysm at 20 years old. I lost my job, my college education, my native language, and my hair. I started making natural products for my own solution. Once I made the decision that I wanted to create a business with my products, I knew I needed to educate myself. I started my business with no network, business education or capital. I signed up for just about every free workshop and program with scholarships including the PVD Self-Employment Program in 2020. Through the CWE team I have networked with some amazing people all over the state and have gotten numerous opportunities all because I joined CWE. Everytime I meet new, local, young entrepreneurs I always tell them about CWE.”
Soulita is a lifestyle e-commerce business with self-care essentials products. They have natural skincare, a beard line and a pregnancy line. Their vision is to normalize what society and other beauty brands call flaws like acne, stretch marks, wrinkles etc. Spending self-care time with natural products helps people both physically and mentally.
